NOLLYWOOD STARS/NIGERIAN CELEBRITIES BORN ON MARCH

I’ll start by saying “Happy Birthday” to all March born. I
wish you all the best.
As usual, I’m glad to present to you all the Nollywood
stars and Nigerian celebrities born on the month of
March. Without wasting your time, let’s keep the ball
rolling ;
PETER EDOCHIE
The first in our list is Nollywood vetran, Peter Edochie. He
is being described as the father of Nollywood. He has
been on the screen since 1980s with his appearance in
the NTA series then; Things Fall Apart, in which he acted
the role of Okonkwo. Pet, as he is called by fans, was
born on March 7, 1947 and he hails from Anambra state.
JULlET IBRAHIM
It is un arguable that Juliet Ibrahim is one of the most
beautiful faces in Nollywood. The actress who was
recently endorsed by GLO as their brand Ambassador was
born in Ghana on the 3rd of March 1986 to a Lebanese
father; Mr. Hussein Ibrahim and a half Liberian/Ghanaian
mother; Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Ibrahim. She is the eldest of
three siblings: Sonia, Nabil and Nadia and was raised in
Ivory Coast and Lebanon. Aside acting, she is also a film
producer, singer, and presenter.
KLlNT DA DRUNK
Klint Da Drunk was born on March 3, 1973. Afametuna
Klint Igwemma is his real name. He is a comedian, actor
and a musician. Klint hails from Agukwu-Nri in Anocha
LGA, Anambra State and graduated with a B.A in Fine and
Applied Arts at the Institute of Management and
technology (IMT), Enugu. Nigeria.
Klint is happily married to Lilian with three kids. Recently,
he was given a traditional title in Ghana alongside
Nollywood director, Chidi Chikere.
BANKY W
Bankole Wellington popularly known as Banky Warrior or
Banky W is a singer and record label owner (Empire Mate
Entertainment). He was born in the United States to
Nigerian parents. He earned a degree in Engineering from
the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. While still in college,
he won the Albany Idol Competition and that set the stage
for his career in music.
He has also gone to the New York Film Academy to study
Directing. The blockbuster movie which he featured, The
Wedding Party, is still making wave in most Nigeria
cinemas.
Finally, one can decribe Banky as a singer, entrepreneur,
director, and director.
UCHE NANCY
Uche Nancy is a popular Nollywood costumier/producer
from Ufuma Anambra state. She was born on March 4.
Uche Nancy is known for her work on Thanks for Coming
2 (2011), Gallant Babes (2011) and The Enemy I See
(2012).
CHIOMA CHUKWUKA
Nollywood actress, Chioma Chukwu Akpotha was born on
March 12, 1980. She hails from Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local
Government Area Anambra State, Nigeria. Chioma
Chukwuka is one of the popular Nigerian actresses, who
has done quite well for herself in the industry since she
joined in 2000, with over 50 movie roles to her credit in
the last 13 years.
KANAYO O KANAYO
Born in Mbaise in Imo state on March 1, 1962, Anayo
Modestus Onyekwere aka Kanayo O. Kanayo is a popular
Nollywood actor. In 2006 he won the African Movie
Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. In 1992,
Kanayo made his debut film appearance in the film Living
in Bondage. Kanayo has starred in over 100 films. He is
happily married with four kids.
GABRIEL AFOLAYAN
Gabriel Afolayan is an actor and singer popular for
movies like “Hoodrush,” “Ojuju,” “Madam Dearest”
among others. He was born on March 1. Afolayan’s
acting debut was in “F Opawon” by Baba Sala. The actor
is a graduate of Theatre Arts from University of Ibadan.
He is a brother to renowned director; Kunle Afolayan.
YEMI EBERECHI ALADE
Yemi Eberechi Alade is a popular Nigerian singer signed to
Efizzy Records. She was born on March 13, 1989 in Abia
State, Nigeria. Her father James Alade is of Yoruba origin
while her mother Helen Uzoma is of Igbo origin resulting
in her being referred as “Yoruba-Igbo girl”. Alade is the
fifth out of the seven children in her family.
LIL KESH
Lil Kesh was born and raised in Bariga, a suburb of Lagos
State. His music career started in 2012 while rapping
among his peers in Bariga until he released “Lyrically”, a
single that quickly became popular in Nigerian
Universities. In 2015, he was nominated in the Best New
Act to Watch category at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment
Awards and Next Rated in The Headies 2015.
He is currently signed to YBNL Nation, a record label
founded by Olamide.
